If you go down to Gateshead Leisure Centre today, you're sure of a big surprise...OK, the tune is probably familiar, but we guarantee you've never seen anything like GO Gateshead's fantastic new soft play experience.
As part of a major investment to improve it's already outstanding range of leisure, the GO Bears Den is a brand new soft play facility based at Gateshead Leisure Centre.
For ages up to 12 years, it offers four floors of fun, packed with thrilling apparatus and challenging obstacles, including climbing towers, slides, cargo skywalk, the ball zone, and the dizzy disc twister zone. It also includes a dedicated toddler area specifically for your younger cubs.
Cabinet Member for culture, Sport and Leisure Councillor Angela Douglas said: "The Council has a heritage of providing exceptional leisure facilities to the residents of Gateshead, and this latest investment is further proof of this commitment.
Along with the Clip 'n' Climb, this new faciity is unique in Gateshead, and with a similar investment in improving the onsite café, come rain or shine the GO Bears Den is the perfect place for playtime. It's fun, safe environment for kids to let off some steam and burn some energy.
"Another fantastic benefit of the GO Bears Den, is that the sooner you introduce your children to healthy activities, the more likely they are to sustain this behaviour into adulthood. Soft play is the ideal gateway activity to lieftime's interest in staying fit and healthy."
