Hotel du Vin are offering guests the chance to indulge in some wine tasting in the surroundings of Newcastle's famous Victoria Tunnel
Always fancied a trip down the Victoria Tunnel but needed a little extra something to whet your whistle?
Well you're in luck as Hotel du Vin are offering a night to remember with their new Tipples in the Tunnel event.
Yes, you heard right, that is an excursion to the famous Ouseburn tunnel with added alcohol - a wine tasting session to be more precise.
Hotel du Vin's general manager, Adam Green explains: "Hotel du Vin have teamed uup with our neighbours at The Ouseburn Trust to offer a unique experience to the city. "The 'Tipple in The Tunnel' offers guests a guided mini-tour of the historic Victoria Tunnels followed by a 'blind' wine tasting hosted by our in-house sommelier David Burlton and General Manager Adam Green.
"Begin the evening with a mini tunnel tour, learning about its history and hearing some great stories, before starting the wine tasting within the tunnel. Our very knowledgeable Sommelier will introduce and talk about 3 lovely wines from around the world. There will also a blind tasting - can you guess your wine?"
