The healthy food specialists will more than double its workforce in the plans, which include opening at the Eldon Square entrance at Monument
The Naked Deli is set to bring its healthy foods to city centre shoppers and workers when it opens two new eateries in Newcastle this year.
The health food specialist launched its range of juices, super food salads and sandwiches and raw vegan cakes exactly three years ago, when it opened on Heaton's Chillingham Road.
Since then, demand from customers has seen the brand expand significantly, through openings in the former Post Office in Gosforth Shopping Centre and in Fenwick's revamped food hall, as well as several concessions.
The upstairs of the former Post Office unit was also transformed into a huge 2,000sq ft kitchen, where all the firm's healthy treats are prepared for the Gosforth, Heaton and the Fenwick outlet.
Now the company's owners and directors - Kirstie Kimmins, Chris Jones and Ian Jones - is now driving forward further expansion, with plans to open in intu Eldon Square at the Monument, right beside the entrance in a unit known as the 'Bullnose'.
The bullnose will sell all Naked Deli's takeaway 'grab and go' health foods and treats, along with the firm's cold pressed juices, superfood smoothies, teas and coffes, protein shakes from this summer, when the unti opens creating 10 new jobs.
A further city centre sit-in deli is also poised to go ahead, at a location yet to be revealed.
Ms Kimmins said: "We chose the spot as it is one of the most prominent units within the city centre, opening this summer creating another 10 jobs.
"And we'll be opening another, approximately 60-cover sit-in deli right int he city centre, serving our full healthy menu opening hopefully from late summer, early autumn, creating another 25 jobs - and that will include a delivery service.
"We're investing around £350,000 in these city centre shops. We currently employ 38 people and that workforce will grow to around 78 when both are open.
"Once these new shops are open we are going to take the brand further, both North and South, and we would love to go national too, in time."
